What the site collects
If you join the newsletter, we store your email, any name you choose to give, the interests and budget band you select, the consent text and its version, the time you submitted it, and the referrer or campaign parameters that arrived with the request. If you use the contact form, we store the message, your email, any name, and the topic. Staff accounts store a name, an email, a password hash, a role, and, if an administrator turns it on, an encrypted authenticator secret. We do not ask you to upload an identity document.
Consent
The newsletter box is unchecked until you check it. Submission creates a pending record and sends a confirmation message when an email provider is configured. In local development the message is printed to the server console. You are not added as a confirmed subscriber until you open the confirmation link. You can unsubscribe with the link in that flow, and you can ask for deletion from the unsubscribe page or the contact form.
How the records are used
Newsletter records are for the list you asked to join. Contact records are for a person to read and reply. The site does not connect a CRM, and it does not send WhatsApp messages; WhatsApp chats start only when you open one. Staff access is limited by role. Export of the subscriber list is limited to the owner and analyst roles and is written to the audit log.
Cookies and analytics
A staff sign-in sets a session cookie. Public pages do not require an account. Google Analytics and Search Console are not connected. No analytics cookie is set by this build. If that changes, this draft needs a new review and a consent choice before non-essential cookies are used.
Retention and deletion
The exact retention period is for counsel to set. This draft does not invent a number of days. Until that review, the operating intention is to keep a subscriber record while it is pending or confirmed, to keep a short record of unsubscribe and deletion requests so we can show what we did, and to delete the subscriber when an authorized owner processes a deletion request. Demo records shipped with the local seed are fictional and labeled DEMO.
Sharing
Email delivery, if you configure a provider, sends the recipient address and the message to that provider. The database host you choose stores the records. We do not sell the list. Counsel should confirm the wording of any processor clauses before launch.
